Money

Workers earn it,
Spendthrifts burn it,
Bankers lend it,
Women spend it,
Forgers fake it,
Taxes take it,
Dying leave it,
Heirs receive it,
Thrifty save it,
Misers crave it,
Robbers seize it,
Rich increase it,
Gamblers lose it...
I could use it.

最後一句慣用語 "I could use it."
英文裡說某些人財大氣粗,可以講 "They've got money to burn."

HOW TO ENJOY READING
R9
This advice sheet is specially designed for students who want to know about how to enjoy reading.
In order to find out how to enjoy reading, you need to know yourself better as a reader. Apart from reading for your studies, what else do you read? How much do you know about yourself as a reader? Below is a table with questions that will help you find out more about yourself as a reader before you start trying to read for fun. Please be honest with your answers.

http://lc.ust.hk/~sac/advice/english/reading/R9.htm

HOW DO YOU BECOME A BETTER READER?
R1
Do you find yourself unable to catch up with the large amounts of readings for your studies? Do you find it difficult to evaluate how much you have understood a text? There are so many other skills of English (such as speaking, writing, etc.) you want to improve that reading could be the last one you are willing to spend time on. But if you realise that reading can actually help you improve your spoken and written work in some way, you may find the reading activity worthwhile and rewarding.
